Powder Coating Cost Guide
What drives a powder coating quote: part size, prep, color, finish and turnaround — with our published minimums.
Powder coating and wet paint both add color — but they perform very differently, especially on the Gulf coast. Here's the honest comparison.
Paint is a wet film that air-dries; powder is a dry coating baked into a hard shell. That shell resists chips, corrosion and UV fade far better — which matters most where salt air attacks finishes.
Powder coating wins for metal that takes weather, wear or salt: railings, wheels, marine hardware, industrial parts. Paint still has a place for very large structures, certain substrates and touch-ups — we'll tell you honestly when powder isn't the right fit.

A dash means it is not our pick for that row, not that it cannot be done.
For durability and corrosion resistance on metal, yes — it lasts far longer, especially near saltwater.
It resists chipping much better because it's a baked, flexible shell rather than a thin film.
Most metal, yes; very large or on-site structures may still suit paint. We'll advise per part.
Usually — you recoat far less often, so it's better value over time.
